Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does St Mark's church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for our Sunday Services.
Due to the current pandemic we are also streaming our Sunday morning services on Facebook. You can watch live, or afterwards, here:
1st Sunday
All-Age Service
2nd Sunday  Service of the Word Bible Stream | 6.30pm
3rd Sunday  Holy Communion
4th Sunday   Service of the Word Messy Church | 2.30pm
5th Sunday  Service of the Word Gospel Night | 6.30pm

We meet in the parish church of St Mark which is on the corner of Canterbury Street and the High Street:
1 Canterbury Street,

Parking is mostly on-street where you can find it, and in car parks off of Jeffery Street (the street below and parallel to the High Street).  Gillingham railway station is only a 4 minute walk along the High Street. There is limited parking available on the site for Blue Badge holders.

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome, particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be singing, Bible reading, prayers, and a short sermon all delivered in a friendly, easy-going way.  Communion forms part of the service on alternate morning and evening services.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a programme for the Youth and Children.

For more information about what happens in the children's work on our Children's Ministry Page

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as it feels comfortable for you.
