About Us

Hello and a very warm welcome to St Mark’s.

We are a relaxed, family-centred, Anglican Church in the centre of Gillingham, and we would love to meet you - whether you’re new to the area, a student, a visitor or looking for a church.  We very much believe that the church is its people - a community of Christians who seek to love God, follow Jesus Christ, and be continually filled with the Holy Spirit as we meet together to worship, study the Bible, pray for and serve our town and beyond, and support one another.

Our church family has a large number of children and young people, and we see that as a real privilege and make them a priority. We also hope that students will find a home with us. But whatever age you are, we would be delighted to see you and welcome you into our community.

We have three locations; the church at the corner of the pedestrianised High Street and Canterbury Street, The Old Vicarage on Vicarage Road (6 minutes walk up Canterbury Street) and St Mary’s Island School.
