Revision of Church Electoral Roll 2025
The Church Electoral Roll is the foundation of the structure of the C of E government and a complete New Roll needs to be prepared this year. If you are already on the existing roll you will need to complete a new application form this year. If you are a member of St Mark's and are not on the current roll, we would encourage you join the New Roll which will allow you to participate in the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.
The closing date for applying to be on the roll will be Friday 2nd May 2025 then the roll will be closed to new applications until after the Annual Parochial Church meeting. Only those people who are on the roll will be able to:
-
Vote at the Annual Parochial Church meeting (Sun 18th May 2025)
-
Stand for election or nominate a person to the Parochial Church Council.
-
Stand for election to the position of Churchwarden.
The roll will be available in church for inspection and electronically until the Annual Parochial Church meeting. The roll as published will include every name entered on the roll, but not any other personal data (e.g. addresses). No names can be added or removed during this period.
If you require any clarification, please speak to Denise Young, our Electoral Roll officer.
We use the data you provide on the Electoral Roll application form to enable us to manage, maintain and publish the Electoral Roll in accordance with Church of England Church Representation Rules.
